A carpenter by trade, Jim got his start in the truss industry doing take-offs. Before joining Bert Hood in 1989 to form the predecessor to The Atlantic Group of companies, Jim managed a truss plant for five years. Jim has a degree in Business Management from Liberty University. He joined the military out of high school, and served in the National Guard for over 20 years. He and his wife of over 50 years reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
